Cookie Policy
This page explains the cookies Alethena Investment uses and the third-party requests our pages make. The short version: we use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect forms, and we do not track you for advertising.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser so it can recognise your browser on the next request. Without one, a site cannot tell that the person loading a page is the same person who signed in a moment earlier.
2. The cookies we use
| Purpose | What it does | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Session | Keeps you signed in as you move between pages, and links your browser to your server-side session. Without it you could not stay logged in. | Until you sign out or it expires |
| Security (CSRF) | Carries a token that proves a form submission genuinely came from you, blocking a class of attack where another site submits a request using your session. | Your browsing session |
Both are strictly necessary: they are required to deliver a service you have asked for, so they do not require consent. You cannot turn them off and still use your account.
3. What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, marketing pixels, or third-party analytics that profile you. We do not sell data about your browsing, and we do not build advertising profiles. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting any such cookie.
4. Third-party requests (not cookies)
Our pages load web fonts and stylesheets hosted by third parties โ Google Fonts and a Tailwind CSS content delivery network. These do not set cookies for us, but requesting a file from another company's server necessarily discloses your IP address and basic browser information to that company, which is subject to its own privacy terms. We mention it because you are entitled to know that loading our pages contacts servers we do not operate.
5. Managing cookies
Every major browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking our session and security cookies will prevent you from signing in, so the site will not work for account holders. Clearing cookies signs you out.
