AML & KYC Policy

Alethena Investment, operated by Equility AG (Zug, Switzerland), does not want to be used to launder money or move criminal proceeds. This page explains the checks we carry out, what we ask of you, and what happens if something looks wrong.

Under legal review. This document is being finalised with our legal advisers and may change. It describes how the platform currently operates and is published for transparency. If anything here is unclear, or appears to conflict with what the platform actually does, please contact us before you rely on it.

1. Our position

We prohibit the use of the platform for money laundering, terrorist financing, sanctions evasion, or the handling of criminal proceeds. We apply the customer-identification, monitoring, and record-keeping measures described below, and we cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.

2. Identity verification (KYC)

We verify who our customers are. You will be asked to provide identifying information and to upload identity documentation through your dashboard. Verification must be complete before your first withdrawal, and we may require it earlier. Submissions are reviewed by our team; your dashboard shows the outcome — Pending, Approved, or Rejected with the reason recorded.

We may request additional information at any point, including confirmation of your source of funds or source of wealth, and we may hold account activity until we receive it.

3. What we require of you

  • ·Information and documents that are accurate, current, and genuinely yours. Submitting forged or another person's documents is a criminal offence in most jurisdictions.
  • ·One account per person. Duplicate accounts, or accounts opened in another person's name, are prohibited.
  • ·That you deposit only funds you own lawfully, and not on behalf of an undisclosed third party.
  • ·That you are not subject to sanctions, and that using the platform does not breach the law where you live.
  • ·That you keep your details current and tell us when they change.

4. Monitoring and review

Account and transaction activity is monitored for indicators of abuse — among them duplicate registrations, referral structures that appear fabricated, deposit and withdrawal patterns inconsistent with a stated profile, and attempts to circumvent platform limits. Withdrawal requests above a configured threshold are reviewed by a person before release, and any request may be held where verification is incomplete or something appears irregular.

5. Records

Every movement of value is written to an append-only ledger that cannot be edited or deleted, and every administrative action — including each occasion a member of staff views a stored identity document — is written to an immutable audit log recording who acted, when, and from where. We retain identification and transaction records for the period required by applicable anti-money-laundering law after a relationship ends.

6. Measures we may take

Where we identify a concern, we may request further information, decline or delay a withdrawal, restrict or freeze an account, close an account, or make a report to the competent authorities. Where the law requires us to report, we may be prohibited from telling you that we have done so, and from explaining why activity is restricted.

7. Sanctions

We do not knowingly provide services to individuals or entities subject to applicable sanctions, or to persons located in jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions. Accounts identified as falling within these categories will be restricted.

8. How your documents are protected

Uploaded documents are validated on upload and stored under non-guessable identifiers. Sensitive stored data is encrypted at rest, and access is limited by role-based permissions and audited. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal data and what rights you have.

9. Reporting a concern

If you suspect that an account, a referral scheme, or a message claiming to come from us is being used fraudulently, tell us. Reach us through the contact page.
