Building financial infrastructure for the digital age

Alethena Investment began in 2017 during the formative period of Switzerland's Crypto Valley. Our early work centred on blockchain asset analysis and due diligence — evaluating digital-asset projects, assessing the substance behind them, and publishing structured assessments at a time when very little of that rigour existed in the market. That work established the discipline we still apply: verify before you assert.

The questions we were asked to answer about other people's projects — how are assets held, how is ownership recorded, what happens when the record and reality disagree — became the questions we set out to answer in our own systems. Our focus moved toward tokenised equity, smart contracts, and the practical infrastructure of digital ownership: the record-keeping layer that determines whether a digital claim is meaningful.

The Alethena Investment platform applies that infrastructure thinking to digital-asset investing. The design principle is simple and unusual: the accounting record is the source of truth, it cannot be quietly rewritten, and it is reconciled continuously against every balance we display.
